Thank you to everyone who made the 18th annual Next Gen Collegiate Hockey Combine (formerly the College Hockey Combine & Fair) a great success!

EVENT UPDATE
As we look ahead to this summer, we decided to pause the Next Gen Collegiate Hockey Combine for 2026. This program has become an important part of our commitment to supporting high school student-athletes as they explore opportunities to continue playing hockey at the collegiate level.
With several othe rmajor events and initiatives planned this year, we're using this time to thoughtfully evolve the program and look forward to bringing it back with new opportunities and experiences next year. We know this news will be disappointing, especially for the student-athletes who were planning to participate this summer. We appreciate your understanding, and our goal is to return with an enhanced Next Gen Collegiate Hockey Combine in 2027 that provides an even more valuable experience for players and families.
Although this program will not be offered this year, supporting local high school student-athletes remains an important part of our mission, and we look forward to creating future opportunities to serve them. If your child is entering their junior or senior year and would like resources such as ACHA club contacts, college admissions and financial aid information, or other guidance, please complete THIS FORM with your email address, and a member of our team will be in touch.

The Capitals Next Gen Collegiate Hockey Combine is an opportunity for high school aged hockey players in the DMV to showcase their on-ice and off-ice talents, as well as learn about the different avenues and opportunities in ACHA college club hockey. Event elements include:
- Virtual parent/guardian Zoom panel featuring representatives from admissions, financial aid, student life, and more
- On-ice combine testing, hosted by Competitive Thread
- Off-ice combine testing, hosted by Competitive Thread
- Full game scrimmage(s)
- College fair tabling hosted by coaches, players, and program representatives from attending colleges and universities
Combine Testing Disclosure:
- All testing is managed by Competitive Thread (third-party)
- The Capitals do not collect or view any participant data
- Testing results are sent to families and are shared to ACHA coaches only with parent/guardian permission
