OVERVIEW
The Washington Capitals and Capitals Youth Hockey Development team are dedicated to providing safe and inclusive places to play for women and girls across the DMV. Through various programs and events, women and girls can try, learn, and play!
The Washington Capitals welcome those who are non-binary, transgender, gender fluid, or cisgender women to participate in all events and programs within the ALL CAPS ALL HER platform.
GIRLS PROGRAMS
DMV GIRLS THFF DAY
Hit the ice and try hockey....for FREE! Open to girls ages 4-9. Hosted in partnership with Potomac Valley Amateur Hockey Association (PVAHA) on September 14, 2025!

GIRLS LEARN TO PLAY
First-time hockey program at MedStar Capitals Iceplex open to girls ages 7-14. Programs runs as LTP 1 (Fall), LTP 2 (Winter), and LTP 3 (Spring).

Girls Summer Camp
Sharpen your skills and have FUN on the ice at our ALL CAPS ALL HER Girls Hockey Camp at MedStar Capitals Iceplex in Arlington, VA! This year's camp takes place August 4-8, 2025.

HS Girls summer hockey
Hosted by our partner rink, The Gardens Ice House, this summer league is open to HS hockey players to continue their skills and leadership development over the summer!

JWHL Challenge Cup
Hosted by the Washington Pride, the Capitals are proud to support the annual Junior Women's Hockey League Challenge Cup tournament at MedStar Capitals Iceplex.

Hosted by the Washington Pride, the Capitals are proud to support the bi-annual NCAA D1 in DC tournament at MedStar Capitals Iceplex.

Learn to Skate program for adult women 18+ hosted through MedStar Capitals Iceplex. Learn to hockey skate before joining Learn to Play!

CWHL Women's League
The Capitals Women's Hockey League is a six-team league run through MedStar Capitals Iceplex for players of all ages and skill levels.

Join some of your favorite ALL CAPS ALL HER coaches and get some extra ice time improving your skills! All clinics are hosted at MedStar Capitals Iceplex.
