Program Details
Mites on Ice games are refereed by our mascot, Slapshot, and members of the Capitals Youth Hockey Development team. All players get to wear Capitals home and away jerseys while they skate. This program is limited to teams in the 8U age group and a maximum of 16 total players are allowed to participate (14 skaters and 2 goalies total).
- All Mites on Ice games are played with blue 4oz pucks
- Goal set up (full-ice, top of circles, or blue lines) will be determined by Capitals Game Presentation & Youth Hockey Development teams based on age level and team skill
- Four (4) parents/coaches will be allowed downstairs to ice level during the intermission
- All players and the four attending parents/coaches MUST fill out the participation waiver prior to arrival at Capital One Arena
