Youth Off-Ice

The Capitals Hockey School program, presented by Capital One, aims at providing access and introducing the sport of hockey to children in elementary and middle school. The Hockey School program provides Capitals-branded equipment and a custom curriculum for P.E. classes in over 1,600 local school and reaches almost 1.2 million students across the DMV. 

Our REVAMPED street hockey clinic series available for kids ages 5 - 17. For only $10 participants will learn the basics of hockey in a fun and safe environment.

The biggest tournament of the summer! Our annual Baltimore Street Hockey Tournament is hosted at Madison Square Rec Center in Baltimore, MD brings city community centers together for a day packed with intense competition and big time cellies!

Lace up your skates and try inline for the first time! These FREE clinics are open to kids ages 5-17, hosted at various Capitals outdoor rinks across the DMV. All equipment is provided! 

You learned to skate, now it’s time to learn to play! The Learn to Play Inline program is open to kids ages 5-10 and is hosted at various outdoor rinks in partnership with local inline hockey clubs. All participants will receive a FREE set of protective inline hockey gear, as well as skates to rent for the duration of the class. 

Time to get in the game! The Capitals Inline Hockey League (CIHL) is a competitive travel inline hockey league comprised of six local clubs and divided into three age divisions!
