MICHAEL JANKE
COORDINATOR, OFF-ICE YOUTH HOCKEY DEVELOPMENT
Michael Janke is the Off-Ice Coordinator of Youth Hockey Development for the Capitals and supports and supports all off-ice Programming including the Capitals Inline Hockey League, Try Hockey for Free, Learn to Inline Skate, Sticks & Sneaker Learn to Play, school programming, and marquee events. Originally from Weston, Wisconsin, Michael earned his BA from Marymount University. Michael grew up playing hockey for D.C. Everest High School, Team Wisconsin (AAA), and various junior teams, including the Janesville Jets and Granite City Lumberjacks. Michael has been with the Capitals for three years and has also served as an Assistant Coach for the Capitals Academy U16 AA teams and as a counselor at Next Level Hockey Camp. A fun fact about Michael is that he has performed the National Anthem in front of 500 people.
