The Washington Capitals are proud to support local programming and tournaments such as the Junior Women's Hockey League (JWHL) Challenge Cup and NCAA D1 in DC Tournament at MedStar Capitals Iceplex.
D1 in DC tournament
Proudly hosted by the Washington Pride, the NCAA D1 in DC tournament will take place November 28-29, 2025 at MedStar Capitals Iceplex featuring NCAA Women's Division I teams from:
- Clarkson University
- Colgate University
- St. Cloud State University
- The Ohio State University

The Junior Women's Hockey League (JWHL) Challenge Cup is proudly hosted by the Washington Pride annually at MedStar Capitals Iceplex.
The 2026 JWHL Challenge Cup will take place February 12-16, 2025.
- Thursday, February 12: Girls clinic led by players and coaches from the various JWHL teams
- Thursday, February 12: JWHL All-Star game immediately following the girls clinic
- Friday, February 13-16: Tournament play
