dmv girls hockey weekend & try hockey for free
Get ready for a weekend of FUN with our first-ever 2026 DMV Girls Hockey Weekend (previously DMV Girls Try Hockey for Free Day) on Saturday/Sunday, September 12-13, 2026.
This even is a joint effort between the Washington Capitals, Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE) Foundation, the Potomac Valley Amateur Hockey Association (PVAHA), and various youth hockey organizations throughout the region to introduce girls ages 4-9 to hockey at no cost.
This event is for players who have never tried hockey before to gear up and give it a shot in a FUN and SAFE environment! This event is hosted at various local rinks across the DMV.
